Essay

The object - crack propagation processes by mixed-mode fracture mikromechanisms under proportional static and cyclic loading; the aim-to develope the main concepts of deformable solid thermodynamics, concepts and methods of fracture mechanics of materials, experimental methods for determining the characteristics of static and fatigue crack growth resistance, electronic speckle-correlation; novelty - for the first time the methods for determining residual strength and life of cracked structural elements, operating in random loading conditions were developed. A method for determining the stress-strain state at the crack tip with use of speckle-correlation of the deformed surface images was formulated; results - the theory of strength and fracture of materials and structural elements with cracks under complex loading (static or cyclic) was developed; branches - engineering, transport pipelines.
