Essay

The aim of the work was to increase the possibility of early prognosis of severity and consequences of diphtheria on the strength of immune, autoimmune and metabolic disorders research and, considering that, to work out and substantiate the optimization of therapy tactics. The conducted integrated research allowed to verify some stages of the pathogenesis of diphtheria and to suggest the methods for correction of discovered disorders. New criteria for prognosis of miocarditis development have been substantiated and suggested on the strength of determination of autoimmune processes in patients with diphtheria. New evidence has been obtained with regard to participation of autoantibodies in the pathogenesis of diphtheria and their influence on organic pathology formation. For the first time, a new way for evaluation of diphtheria course severity on the strength of determination of nitroxidemia levels in the blood of the patients has been worked out and investigated. The relation between nitroxidemia andmiocarditis development has been proven. The use of emoxipine in therapy of diphtheria has been substantiated in experiment. The positive influence of the preparation on the course of the disease and paraclinical indices has been shown. The role of secretory immunity in formation of course severity of diphtheria has been verified. Relation between secretory immunity activity and the level of endogen intoxication has been established. On the strength of research of proteolysis in internal organs in laboratory animals, evidence concerning pathogenetic mechanisms of diphtheria has been supplemented. Its relation with the dose of received toxin has been established.
