Object of the research: Chronic diseases of the digestive system. Purpose of the research: To improve the efficacy of treatment of the children with chronic diseases of the digestive system by means of profound study of the vegetative homeostasis and development of a therapeutic program for correction of its disorders. Methods of the research: General clinical, instrumental, analytical statistical. Theoretical and practical findings: The presence of vegetative homeostasis was revealed in all children with simultaneous pathology of the digestive system considerably influencing their pathogenesis and course, which substantiates the necessity to correct the dysfunctions of the vegetative nervous system. Determining the variants of vegetative homeostasis disorders improves the quality of diagnosis of vegetative dysfunction and allows to administer the adequate therapy to correct the vegetative disorders. A therapeutic complex for correction of different variants of vegetative homeostasis disorders, which improves the efficacy of treatment of the children with chronic diseases of the digestive system, was worked out. Novelty: For the first time, six variants of disorders of vegetative homeostasis in children with chronic pathology of the digestive system were distinguished. A systemic analysis, which showed that each type of the initial vegetative tone forms various programs of management of the functional system of the organism, different types of programs of self-regulation of the vegetative nervous system, specific vegetometabolic correlations in different forms of gastroduodenal pathology, was done. A therapeutic program of correction of vegetative disorders depending on the variant of vegetative homeostasis disorders was substantiated and suggested. Its efficacy in treatment of the children was shown. Comparative characteristics of vegetative homeostasis in children with various degree of severity of the pathological process and disorders of the motor function was made, which proved increase of parasympathicotonia with increase of the pathology severity and in duodenogastric and gastroesophageal reflux. The presence of dysfunction of the cardiovascular system in the majority of the patients due to disturbances of neurohumoral regulation was proved. The problem of correlation of a chronic stress and digestive system pathology was further elaborated. Degree of introduction: The findings of the research are used in the work of hospitals of Kharkiv and Kharkiv region (Kharkiv Regional Children's Clinical Hospital, City Children's Clinical Hospital No. 16, Merefa, Krasnograd, Dvurechna, Bogodukhiv Central District Hospitals), Donetsk (Institute for Urgent and Restorative Surgery named after V.K. Gusak, AMS of Ukraine), Dnipropetrovsk (Dnipropetrovsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital ), Lviv (City Children's Clinical Hospital), Simferopol (Republican Children's Clinical Hospital, AR of the Crimea), which is proved by the Acts of Introduction. The findings of the research are used in the teaching process at pediatrics department of Kharkiv State Medical University. Sphere of application: Medicine, pediatrics.
