Essay

For the first time, the maps of the distribution of whales of the Southern hemisphere are compiled The functional dependency between length and weight of whales, their organs and body parts is established. The regularity of whales' growth is studied, and a similarity with surface mammals is shown. The regularity of biology of whales' reproduction is studied, and the reproduction ability of whales is calculated.. The isolation of the whales' population of Arabian Sea and their difference from the whales of the Antarctic is shown. Presence of the second kind of killer whales Orcinus nana (Mikhalev, 1981) in the Antarctic is proved. The terms of moratoriums necessary for restoration of stocks of whales are calculated.
