Essay

The object is the social relationships in the sphere of correlations between the state and regions and states' influence on the regions development. The objective is the elaboration of the conception including scientific and theoretical justification, legal and institutional basis of state regulation of regions development and the priority directions of its mastering in Ukraine. The methods are systematic analysis, retrospective, comparison, formal-juridical. The newness is that the essence and content of the state regulation of regions development have been defined as the systematic influence of the state intented to the support of social oriented, permanent development of regions with the purpose of ensuring the highest and equal social standards of life. The results are that the theoretical aspects of the effectiveness of state regulation of development of regions have been studied and the priority of social effectiveness has been justified. The ways to classify regions and criteria of effectiveness of their state regulation have been proposed.
