Essay

In the thesis the mechanical action of the laser light onto atoms and molecules, spectral properties of saturated absorption and fluorescence resonances, resonance fluorescence of molecular iodine of various isotopic composition were studied. The new force of resonant light pressure - the force of stimulated light pressure on atoms and molecules was studied experimentally in the first time. This force keeps of constant sign on the distance exceeding the wavelength, and its size is not restricted by the value F = hkg. The frequency quantum references of new type - the resonances of saturated intracavity fluorescence in He-Ne/127I2 laser were proposed and investigated. The nature of He-Ne/127I2 laser frequency shifts caused by fre-quency modulation and by variation of absorption media isotopic composition was defined more accurately. The limits of sensitivity for laser fluorescence heteroisotope iodine test was specified.
