There developed theoretical base of central banks evolution investigation under which the five historical types of central banks are discovered. The theoretical background of currency union creation as effective answer on globalization challenges to monetary authority is build. There found the main monetary features of global financial architecture. The theoretical foundations of globalization influence on monetary policy during market transition process are made. The principles of developing of Ukrainian monetary integration with euro area strategy are build.
