The dissertation is devoted to features of artificial long-lived radionuclides behaviour in aquatic ecosystems within the Chernobyl NPP exclusion zone and their biological importance for aquatic organisms in condition of chronic radiation impact. The species-specificity of accumulation of radionuclides Sr-90, Cs-137 and transuranic elements (Pu-238, Pu-239+240 and Am-241) by higher aquatic plants, mollusks and fish as well as their distribution in the main components of aquatic ecosystems has been studied.
