Pervyj V. The phobic syndrome of neurotic and somatoform disorders (diagnostics, clinic picture, preventive treatment and medication).

The dissertation is devoted to research into the peculiarities of origin and realization of phobic syndrome of neurotic and somatoform disorders. The criteria of ICD-10, method of standardized interview, Symptom Check List-90-Revised (SCL-90-R), Taylor anxiety scale, self-estimation scale of Spielberger-Khanin were applied for investigation. For the first time in Ukrainian psychiatry, the work analyses the data presenting principal features of biochemical processes of the patients with phobic syndrome in the structure of neurotic and somatoform disorders. In the present dissertation various methodological and conceptual approaches to explanation of phobias, psychological, social and biochemical factors determining occurrence and clinical formation of phobic syndrome of the neurotic register are described. He clinical manifestations of sexual functioning of the persons with phobic states, methods of primary and differential diagnostics, as basic principals of medication and preventive treatment of neurotic phobias have been suggested. Fundamental methods of medication and preventive treatment taking into account clinical, psychopathological, psychological and laboratory test parameters have been offered. The results of research may be used in clinical psychiatry with the aim to early reveal and prevent the phobic syndrome in neurotic and somatoform disorders which allows in considerable degree to optimize and individualize medical and rehabilitation assistance for the above-mentioned contingent of patients.
