Mantsurov I. Methodology of Statistical Assessment of the Economic Growth and Competitiveness of a Country

The Ukrainian economy in a global international competitive environment. Development of the conceptual and methodological grounds for the statistics of economic growth and competitiveness of the country, comprehensive statistical analysis of the performance of the Ukrainian economy implementation. Methods that have been used are as follows: systems analysis, generalization and systematization, multidimensional estimations, correlation and regression, balance method. Thesis substantiates the conceptual and methodological grounds for the statistics of economic growth and competitiveness that defines a new school and area of focus in the science of statistics. Methodology has been developed for the purposes of the performed statistical analysis of efficiency of the Ukrainian inner potential exploitation. Methodological approaches to the statistical analysis of the economic growth and competitive strength's external factors have been well-grounded. Recommendations devoted to the methodological and organizational issues of the information and analytical support of the governmental regulation of the labor and capital markets' operation and to definition of the basic parameters of the engineering, investment, innovative, budgetary, tax, monetary and regulatory policy are developed and implemented.
