Essay

The subject is main regularities of a fundamental physical phenomenon of runaway electron secondary generation; the synchrotron radiation of these electrons; external electromagnetic plasma perturbations. First the integral of close Coulomb collisions, the runaway region of secondary electrons, runaway avalanche time are derived. An active control experiment of avalanche of the runaway electron secondary generation is carried out in the TEXTOR tokamak (FRG). Problems are solved where the runaway electrons are used as tools for plasma diagnostics. The plasma response influence on the penetration of external perturbations is studied because it immediately affects runaway confinement. The obtained results are used in the experiments with secondary runaways in the present day tokamaks JET, TEXTOR, HYBTOK-II in the nuclear fusion researches.
