In this thesis the dependence of German and Austrian-Hungarian policy towards the national interests of the Ukrainian nation from the complex of factors – military-political, economical, geopolitical – formed by short-term interests as well by needs of long-term strategic planning – has been defined. Spheres of coincidence and contradictions between the allied monarchies and Ukrainian interests have been characterized.
