Essay

Presented are the works of complex research of the processes of form created and functioning of various mycelial forms of fungi in submerged conditions. The materials show that filamentous and pellet structures are representations of adaptive reactions in organism, inherent to self-organizing systems. Biological nature of pelletogenesis of Thielavia terrestris is proven. Pellet mycelium, unlike filamentous, is characterized by adverse conditions of existence similar to non-specific stress described for unicellular microorganisms. The determining role of the lag-phase in the process of ontogenesis of micromycetes is established and it corresponds to a stage of cempetence with higher organisms. Presented is the hypothetical pattern of perception and transfer of morphogenic signal inwards in the cell by means of innercellular messengers: cАМP and ions of calcium. Based on the model presented, the process of form cretion of filamentous and pellet mycelium has been regulated by means of directed alterationof physical and chemical factors of environment and the level of endogenous cAMP.
