The work defined the objective necessity and the mechanism of banking system development in the structure of transformational and developed market economy, as well as the main trends and peculiarities of its development in Ukraine. There were observed the problems of banking system internal stability ensuring and acceleration of its effective model forming with the aim of mobilizing of the financial resources and their concentration on the priority directions of the economy structural evolution.
