Essay

The thesis is devoted to the topic scientific and technical problem on revealing the correlation between the acoustic quantities measured and the mesostructural parameters of the real multiphase materials, and the development of the methods for controlling and predicting their properties. The regularities of the acoustic field formation in the media which possess multilevel hierarchic structure have been studied. The scientific bases which control the information content of representation of the material properties, structure and defects in these fields have been elaborated. The methodology of synthesis of the acoustic control methods which possess improved sensitivity of the parameter measured to the specific property of a material has been proposed. The unconventional diagnostic parameters of an acoustic field have been substantiated. The correlation dependence between the parameters of an acoustic field and the mesostructural characteristics of different powder and composite materials has been established. The unique methods and techniques of measuring, and the apparatus which allow the qualitatively new and previously inaccessible information about materials and articles during their development, production and operation have been elaborated. The results of the work have been approved at a number of enterprises in Ukraine.
