Essay

The object of the investigation: dynamic processes in electromechanical systems with Blondel-Park transformable electromechanical converters. The purpose of the investigation: development of the analysis and design theory of the electromechanical systems, based on vector-controlled electric motors, with the aim of dynamic performance and energetic efficiency improvement by means of nonlinear and adaptive control methods application. Methods of investigation: second Lyapunov’s method, feedback linearization, output feedback control, adaptive control, theory of singularly perturbed systems, mathematical and physical modeling. Theoretical and practical results and innovations: new results in stability theory, novel control concept is proposed, design methods of the nonlinear and adaptive electromechanical systems are developed. A subject and degree of the implementation: results are implemented in electromechanical systems based on induction motors and doubly-fed induction machines in power range up to 750 kW. The efficiency of the implementation: dynamic performances and energetic efficiency improvement. The field of application – electromechanical systems.
