Kozareno T. Radiation methods of investigation in the diagnostics and evaluation of gestational trophoblastic tumor treatment efficiency

The present dissertation is addressed to increase the diagnostic efficiency and disease behavior control of gestational trophoblastic tumor by means of scientific foundation of radiation diagnostic methods optimal complex and computer analysis of uterus ultrasound imaging application. Medical signs of trophoblastic tumors were systematized and their diagnostic criteria with the help of which the diagnostic possibilities of the methods were increased, were determined. The principal types of posthydatidiform trophoblastic tumor and choriocarcinoma ultrasound angio-architecture were determined. The possibilities of small pelvis MRI in the detection of tumor process dissemination were evaluated. The investigation of trophoblastic tumor regression and its structural changes according to US-investigation, MRI and US-images computer analysis data gave the possibility to develop the objective evaluation criteria of treatment efficiency and to diagnose in time the chemo-resistant forms of gestational trophoblastic tumor.
