Essay

The object: patients with differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC). The aim: increasing the efficacy of the treatment of patients with DTC. The methods: radionuclide, radiological, laboratory, statistical. The new approach: method of calculation of individual therapeutic activities of iodine-131 and method of prognosis of efficacy of radioiodine therapy (RIT) were elaborated; the effects of thyroid stunning and selfstunning were studied. The results: increasing of efficacy of RIT was achieved; the algorithm of RIT and the monitoring of patients with DTC was elaborated. The scope of application: nuclear medicine, oncology, endocrinology.
