Abstract models of information display of therapeutic and diagnostic process are proposed and grounded: display of user's parameters, formalization of text data, display of the diagnosis, two-step analysis of data. The efficacy of models is proved on the basis of the medical information system (MIS) developed. Classifications of thyroid and adrenal diseases to be used in MIS are adapted. Original investigations of thyroid nodular pathology have been carried out on a register of endocrinology patients, comprising many thousands of cases. Rates of growth and decrease of thyroid nodules, facts of their disappearance, features of benign and malignant neoplasm are studied. It is proposed to consider as fast a rate of increase in thyroid nodule size by 6 and more mm/year. Based on clinical and ultrasound parameters, prognostic factors of malignancy are attributed. Based on literature and own data, an automated system of decision-making for the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid nodules is developed for the first time
