Essay

The Thesis concerns three-dimensional dynamic fracture mechanics problems with allowance for the crack faces contact interaction, including non-linear statement of the problem, development of the solution method and its computer coding, analysis of the results obtained. The three-dimensional problem for linearly elastic, homogeneous and isotropic cracked material under harmonic waves (tension-compression and shear) is solved by the boundary integral equations method using iterative algorithm. The effect of initial opening of the crack is studied. The distributions of the displacement discontinuity and contact forces are obtained and analyzed. The dynamic stress intensity factors (opening and shear modes) are also computed. The mutual influence of cracks is studied. The results are compared with those obtained without allowance for the crack faces contact interaction.
