Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the study of the role of a genetic factor in occurrence and development of periodontal diseases and its mechanisms of occurrence. A new concept of the role of a genetic factor, based on the study of genetic, metabolic and immune markers of these diseases, has been formulated: it plays a leading role in etiology and pathogenesis of parodontosis, whereas in those of generalized periodontitis it is the combination of both genetic and environmental factors.
