Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the research of the history and the theory of the laughter world in Russian classical music of the XIX and XX centuries. The work represents a systematic research in the field of laughter in music: an analysis is carried out of the causes of the laughter is being distinguished as a separate phenomenon of cul-ture; a theory of musical texts and musical parodies is created; their genre typology is worked out as well as a close study is carried out of structural and tone characteristics of these phenomenon and their definitions are introduced. An analysis is being carried out of psychological grounds for creative activities of composers in the field of laughter, a research is made of the mental and image-bearing and esthetic specifics of the Russian creative laughter. A study is made of the process of interaction between laughter musi-cal texts and texts of “serious” culture; a stylistic specifics of vital and parody musical texts are defined and methodology of their analysis is proposed. The dissertation con-tains a research in the style of laughter of М. Musorgsky, А. Borodin, S. Taneev and D. Shostakovich as well as a dynamics of genre-bearing and stylistic transformations in the laughter containing works of M. Musorgsky and D. Shostakovich in connection with their individual features and socio-cultural contents of the time.
