Skybchyk V. Myocardial infarction in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus: peculiarities of pathogenesis and clinical course, treatment and prognostication of complications.

Object - acute myocardial infarction with type 2 diabetes mellitus, dead from myocardial infarction; methods - general clinical, laboratory, instrumental, statistical; novelty - the role of the complex of carbohydrate, lipid, purine, adipose metabolism disturbances, system inflammation, nitric oxide metabolism, oxidative stress in myocardial infarction pathogenesis accompanying type 2 diabetes mellitus is determined; the pathogenic meaning of insulin resistance, it's relationships with dyslipidemia, oxidative stress, system inflammation, nitric oxide metabolism, in prognostication of myocardial infarction complicated course and type 2 diabetes mellitus was discovered; a new approach to insulin resistance pharmacotherapy by means of insulin and metformin combination and method of hypertriglyceridemia correction in patients with disturbed liver function were worked up; main prognostic factors of myocardial infarction complicated course appearance accompanying type 2 diabetes mellitus were determined;results were implemented into practice of healthcare settings of seven oblasts of Ukraine, into scientific and educational process of five medical universities of Ukraine; branch - medicine.
