Essay

There is a theoretical justification and some new solutions are given to the scientific problem regarding mechanisms of formation of chronic gastroduodenitis and duodenal ulcer in juvenile age. This dissertation is to be the first to give scientific explanation to the regulatory role of hormones and cytokines in the formation of morphological and metabolic changes under destructive and inflammatory stomach affection and duodenum in adolescents. It had been revealed some correlation interrelations between morphological, immunohistochemical manifestation of duodenal ulcer and chronic gastroduodenitis and hormonal, cytokine status, parameters of oxidative stress. Based upon factor analysis there had been developed a mathematical model of the formation of chronic gastroduodenitis and duodenal ulcer depending on the gender and some interdependence is found between chronic inflammatory and destructive stomach affection and duodenum in juvenile age. This basic research elucidated the peculiarities of the formation of destructive affection of upper part of gastrointestinal tract during pubertal period and offered the challenge to the new directions for future research and it is a theoretical precondition to the new directions of pathogenetic treatment of these diseases. Key words: adolescents, chronic gastroduodenitis, duodenal ulcer, pathogenetic mechanisms.
