Lazaruk Y. Scientific foundations of non-anticlinal oil and gas traps prognosing in terrigenous deposits (on the example of Carboniferous in Dnipro-Donets depression)

Object of research: terrigenous carbon deposits of DDD (Dnieper-Donets depression); Subject of research: factors of lithological and tectonically screened hydrocarbon traps formation in terrigenous carbon deposits of DDD; the aim of the research is to define the effect of geological factors on the formation of lithological and tectonical screens for oil and gas pools in carbon deposits of DDD and to improve the methods of non-anticlinal hydrocarbon traps prognosis; Methods of research: a) for lithologically screened traps it is the correlation of wells cross-sections according to well logging data, lithological facial study of wells core, structural, paleogeomorphologic and paleotectonic constructions; b) for tectonically screened traps it is geological analogies of sedimentary pools structure, experimental modeling of dislocations, theoretical calculations of hydrocarbon traps parameters; practical value; author's theoretical and methodological materials are used in scientific argumentations of the plans of geological prospecting works and growth of oil and gas reserves in DDD; scientific novelty: geological factors which effected the lithological and tectonical screens formation for oil and gas pools were determined for the first time; the theoretical grounds were substantiated and the scheme of methods of hydrocarbon non-anticlinal traps prognosis was proposed; spheres of usage; oil and gas geology, hydrocarbon deposits exploitation.
