Essay

Object of study. Manifestation of phenotypic and genetic properties of microorganisms: cell morphology, tinctorial and cultural characteristics, enzyme activity, antigenic structure and immunogenicity, nucleotide content and level of homology of chromosome DNA, factors of pathogenicity. Purpose. Determination of ecobiotypes and circulation area of enterobacteria species R. aquatilis, P. fontium, B. aquatica on the territory of Ukraine, the extending theoretical knowledge about their biological properties and medical significance, development of techniques for isolation and identification of these microorganisms . Methods. Microbiological, molecular-genetic, biological, immunological, mathematical-statistical. Theoretical and practical results. There were determined ecobiotypes and circulation area of enterobacteria species R. aquatilis, P. fontium, B. aquatica on the territory of Ukraine. There were studied phenotypic and genetic properties of these microorganisms. There were developed techniques for their isolation and identification. There were proved the availability and determined the level of activity of the pathogen factors in R. aquatilis. There were substantiated the complex of ethiological criteria and the method for microbiological diagnostics of diseases caused by R. aquatilis. Novelty. For the first time, it was proved that the territory of Ukraine is the circulation area of R. aquatilis, P. fontium, B. aquatica. In the environment objects, these microorganisms are detected the most frequently in the samples of water from open-air reservoirs and, in the samples of clinical material, they are detected the most frequently in excrements of patients and healthy people. There was significantly extended the level of knowledge about biological properties of R. aquatilis, P. fontium, B. aquatica spieces isolated on the territory of Ukrane and beyond. There were developed the tables to differentiate R. aquatilis, P. fontium, B. aquatica from the other enterobacteria genera, species and biogroups with similar properties. For the first time in the world, there were proved the availability and determined the level of activity of the pathogen factors which provide these microorganisms initiate the progress of pathological processes attributable to clinical course of R. aquatilis infection. Scope of use. Medicine, biology.
