Essay

The thesis for awarding the degree of the Doctor in Philosophy is an integral study in which the systematic conceptual analysis of the long-term social significant activities of orthodox monasticism in Ukraine was done from a base of secular religious studies. These activities were outside the sacral scope and in practice took on common social significance and met the Ukrainian society’s life interests and needs by its results. The consequences of such monasticism activities became an important contribution both in religious sphere and in common mental formation of Ukrainian society.
