Svyatets Y. The Ukrainian individual farm during the years of the New Economic Policy (statistic sources and methods of study)

The complex of the statistic sources for studying of the Ukrainian individual farm history in years of the new economic policy. The research was aimed at the development of the methodological instrument which will allow to detect the total model of the Ukrainian individual farm functioning as y system in condition of the NEP. Methods of synergy and catastrophe theory, systems approach and mathematical modeling, object-driven approach and method of objects classification, comparative analysis, modern information technologies of data bases, geographic information system, statistic analysis, historical and genetic, historical and chronology, historical and system, historical and typology, internal and external critic of sources, estimation of the authenticity, reliability and representative level, informational completeness of the historical sources, principals of their typology classification, demographic methods for studying natural, social and mechanical movements of population; agronomic methods for calculation of the individual farm intensity; cartography and historical geography methods; mathematical-statistical analysis, macro- and microeconomic methods and models; principals for documents classification in documentation and historical source study. The degree of stability of the Ukrainian individual farms in condition of the NEP has been examined. The historiography tradition and historiography situation in the studying of the new economic policy and what role played individual farm in it and source and methodological base of these research have been analyzed. The periodization of the historical and agrarian studies is built. The theoretical grounds and the empiric significance of the object driven methodology, geographic information systems, and synergy and catastrophe theory were disclosed. The information potential of the sources was analyzed. It was also proposed principals for classification of complex of documents to the agrarian history of NEP. The significance and role of the statistics methods in formation of the social documental communication was exposed. It was determined the level of authenticity, representativeness and fullness of materials of annual sample censuses of individual farms as a source for social-economic history of Ukrainian village in the years of NEP. The dynamic typology of districts of USSR was built and it was also located 5 agrarian production regions. The factors of the USSR agriculture development during the NEP were determined. On the base of the catastrophe theory it was reconstructed the dynamic of the Ukrainian individual farm in the years of NEP. It is shown, that NEP did not create conditions for stable development of the agrarian sector of economics.
