Essay

The thesis is devoted to development of effective and ecologically safe technology for obtaining of noble metals from dispersed secondary raw mineral materials, namely disperse waste of polishing powders, using hypochlorite treatment. The composition of polishing powders and their physical-chemical properties were determined and the main chemical reaction of dissolving their metallic components was elucidated. On the base of the established kinetics and mechanism of gold dissolution in chloride-hypochlorite solutions, the technology for selective extraction of gold from polishing powders was elaborated. Also processes of components utilization and toxic metals removal from gold-free solutions were worked out. The technology of polishing powder processing implying utilization of valuable components and decontamination of technological solutions and the original equipment for main operations which have been realized in production conditions were developed.Тhe area - chemcal technology.
