Essay

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of fractal properties of singularly continuous probability distributions and to applications of the results to the number theory, theory of dynamical systems, spectral theory of self-adjoint operators, fractal geometry. The general theory of the multilevel fractal analysis of singularly continuous probability measures and the theory of transformations preserving the Hausdorff-Besicovitch dimension are theoretical basis for these investigations.
