Essay

The dissertation is devoted to questions of treatment of patients with rectal cancer by chronomodulation and chemoradiomodification with 5-FU of preoperative course of radiotherapy. Expedience of application of preoperative course of chronomodulated radiotherapy with radiomodification by 5-FU up to overal dose 25 Gr for resectable and 50 Gy for unresectable rectal cancer was proved. Survival and and morfological changes caused by radiochemotherapy in rectal cancer patients are evaluated. Positive effect of taking into consideration of treatment daily time during radiochemotherapy for rectal cancer on treatment results and toxicity are demonstrated. Results are introduces in practise of oncological centres in Ukraine. Field of use: radiation oncology.
