The dissertation represents the result of the research of the ideas of state in the political thought of getmanshchina period (second half of ХУІ-ХУІІІ centuries). The author's chronology of the political thought are represented. In this context the idea of state in sources of Renaissance, thoughts of state of ideologists of religion struggle and ideas of the national state in writings of getmanshchina period are investigated. Separately ideas of state in the period of Cossack national and liberation revolt, ideas of independence and autonomy in conception of getmans of Cossack state, peculiarities of ideas of state in period of destruction of Cossack state. The enlightenment conception of state are investigated. Separately antinational and national conceptions.
