Rebeznyuk I. Development of scientific bases for wood sawing on band mills

The object of the investigation is the wood sawing process on band mills; the aim of the work is to increase productivity and accuracy of wood sawing with the help of a band saw due to the improvement of energy-power and dynamic parameters of the band mill and the improvement of instrument preparation technology. The methods of this investigation are methods of mathematical modeling, eventual elements, experiment planning and mathematical statistics. Novelty: the scientific and applied bases of new method of highly productive wood sawing on the band mill are developed (the band mill is constructed on the basis of energy-power process regularities taking into account the feed motion angle and wood sawing dynamics); the concept of band saw ring gear preparation and quality evaluation of prepared teeth is offered. Results: the method of substantiation of wood sawing technique on a horizontal band mill with change of feed motion angle; the methods of determination of parameters (length and thickness) of band saws and their ring gear during the process of saws preparation for work. The subject and level of introduction: the constructions of horizontal band mill with turning telescopic saw support, the separation device and the sharpening machine are created and launched into production; developed principles and recommendations are taken for using in production conditions.
