Kashirin V. Activating therapy based on the use of antihomotoxic preparations for patients with pharyngolaryngeal malignant neoplasms

The dissertation studies the problem of treatment improvement for patients with pharyngolaryngeal malignant neoplasms through activating therapy (AT) based on the use of antihomotoxic preparations (АHTP) and combined with specific methods. The analysis of morbidity, mortality, efficiency of given medical treatment for patients with pharyngolaryngeal malignant tumors was conducted in Zaporizhia region in 1991-2000. The research covered 416 patients with larynx cancer (T3 No Мо) and 68 patients with hypo-pharynx cancer (T3 No-2 Мо). 157 of them along with the specific methods of treatment (43 - surgical, 82 - combined and 32 - holiatry) underwent АТ based on the use of AHTP The efficiency of АТ based on the use of AHTP for patients with larynx cancer was 35,8 % under surgery and 33,2 % - under combined treatment, for patients with hypopharynx cancer - holiatry - 21,4 % .This fact makes it possible to increase the 5-year unreleased survivability index for patients with larynx cancer upto 12,6 % on the average and - hypopharynx cancer -up to 13,6 %.
