Essay

The thesis postulates both the possibility and necessity of differentiating between the interpretation and exposition as two different means of comprehension, the boundary between them coincides with that between the representing thinking and the inquiring thinking. The means and principles of aesthetic completion and their evolution in the Russian lyrical poetry of the 19th-20th centuries were studied within interpretation. Within the symbolic function of the language of the 19th century three main principles of aesthetic completion are formed, that is: symbolic-antinomical, symbolic-empirical and symbolic-synnomical. A twofold centre as the means of aesthetic completion can be connected with both the symbolic-antinomical principle of a creative approach and symbolic-synnomical principle. The evolution of the Russian poetry of the 20th century has been largely stipulated by the interaction of the two principles of the aesthetic completion mentioned above. It is through the exposition that the links between F.I. Tiutchev's poetry and the ancient Greek poetry, the presence of the frenzied and mimetic genre principles in his poetry, in particular, were revealed.
