Essay

The thesis for acquiring the scientific degree of the Doctor of Philosophical sciences represents an integral comparative study in European and Ukrainian evangelical Protestantism, their beliefs and dogmatic reflection in evolution of social and cultural forms. The secularization of protestant churches in Europe and America is evoking rejection from post-Soviet evangelical believers who are looking for a true middle ground between traditional religion and Western modernism. Evangelical churches in the Ukraine still retain the features of a marginalized sub-culture and searching for a new social and theological identity. Last time problem of religious identity and relations between evangelicals and state must be characterized in context of european integration of Ukraine, enlarge civil society and partnership between different churches
