Essay

The thesis concerns three-dimensional dynamic fracture mechanics problems for piecewise homogeneous elastic solids with interface cracks. The solution method for the considered problems is proposed and developed. The system of boundary integral equations is obtained; and the expressions for integral kernels for the case of harmonic loading are given. New classes of three-dimensional dynamic problems are solved, namely: problems for penny-shaped and elliptical cracks located at the interface under normally incident harmonic tension-compression and shear waves. The distributions of the parameters of the stress-strain state and stress intensity factors (opening and shear modes) versus the frequency of the incident wave, mechanical properties of the bimaterial and the shape of the crack are investigated.
