Essay

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of properties of turbulence in the interplanetary space in connection with its impact on the propagation of cosmic ray particles. The obtained results develop conceptual framework of the heliosphere as turbulent gyrotropic environment with a random interplanetary magnetic field in which charged particles are moved and are governed by this random field in processes of diffusion, scattering, and acceleration. In present thesis, models of turbulent fields based on "first principles“ are developed and investigated in details. Models of the diffusive propagation of particles in these fields as well as the consistent kinetic model of particle transport, scattering, and the statistical acceleration of particles in magnetohydrodynamic turbulence are developed. The new type of alpha acceleration is analyzed in detail, and it is compared with statistical Fermi acceleration. It is found out that all kinetic coefficients of particle transport are determined by the concrete form of spectrum of turbulence as well as helicity of magnetic field.
