Essay

Object of research: propagation effects of radio emission in pulsar plasma. Aim of research: explanation of the observed peculiarities in pulsar radio pulses. Methods of research: Analytic and numerical solution of the transfer equations. New theoretical results: the orthogonal polarization modes in pulsar radio emission are explained for the first time; the mechanisms of pulsar giant pulses, precursors and interpulses are suggested for the first time; a new mechanism of the non-thermal optical emission of pulsars is developed based on the radio photon reprocessing in pulsar plasma. The extent of application: the results are applied. The field of application: physics of pulsars.
