Essay

Subject of inquiry: processes of fuel and air supply to engine, and also process of fluctuation of angular speed of the diesel generator’s (DG) shaft. Purpose of work: development of scientific bases of construction of computerized measurement systems for the control and the diagnostics of the diesel (D) and DG, which provide the increase of their technical, economical and ecological parameters. Research methods are based on the theories of differential equations, optimal control, measurement systems, probabilities and mathematical statistics. Theoretical and practical results and novelty: the important problem of development of theoretical bases and their practical realization in industry of creation of the computerized systems of diagnostics and control of diesels and diesel generators is solved. New methods of simulation of some physical processes accompanying work of diesel generators are developed, that allowed to increase the accuracy and reliability of diagnostics, and also to provide the quasi-optimal technical, economical and ecological parameters of exploitation of diesels. Subject and extend of application: the main results are applied on State Company “Malyshev Factory”, DOSD SC “Malyshev Factory”, Kharkov tractor plant, and Kharkov company «Avtramat». Scientific results are used in the educational process in the National university “Kharkov polytechnic institute”. Efficiency of application: a considerable technical and economical effect consisting of increase of parameters of quality of the system of control and diagnostics of power generators was obtained (reduced the time of transitional process, increased the accuracy of keeping of defined frequency of the DG rotation, reduced the fuel consumption). Sphere of use: information-measuring systems.
