Essay

The thesis is devoted to research the music art situation of the «silver age» in the problem area of the Russia’s socio-cultural environment at the edge of the 19th–20th centuries, and to study the integrative processes in the Russian musical culture at the end of the 19th – beginning of the 20th centuries. For the first time in the Ukrainian musicology, the issue of integration of music art during periods of transition is researched, and the «predicting» role of the art tendencies of the Russian musical culture at the end of the 19th – beginning of the 20th centuries for the further development of the music art is defined. The research of the mentioned topic takes the following directions: defining the phenomenon of transitivity in the Russian culture at the edge of the 19th–20th centuries, types and mechanisms of the integrative processes in the music art of the «silver age», the idea of musicality in the art of the «Russian spiritual renaissance», interaction of the Russian music at the edge of 19th–20th centuries with the other kinds of art and other cultures, music’s participation in culture-creating processes. The Russian music culture of this period is for the first time presented as a whole unified system functioning by principles of integrativeness; the typology of integrative processes in art is comprehended with orientation on the music art; the forms and ways of existence of the idea of synthesis of arts in the artists’ consciousness and in the Russian art culture at the edge of the 19th–20th centuries are considered in a systemic way.
