Tomenko M. The Constitutional Process as a Search for Strategic Priorities of Ukraine.

The proposed thesis, published as a monograph, devoted to the elaboration and substantiation of the holistic concept of political constitutionalism. The focus of the work is concentrated on a thorough study basis and content of Ukrainian constitutionalism, the analysis of the experience, which may be useful in further development of the constitutional foundations of Ukraine. The analysis of the constitutional process in Ukraine today, as well as philosophical grounds of the Ukrainian society and state, the essence of the national idea and content of the constitutional order, leads to the acceptance the priority of politics rather than law in the Ukrainian constitutionalism. The constitutional state model is built through the prism of the study and use the Ukrainian and foreign experience in the political regimes functioning, formations and development of the state administration forms and the state system. This analysis allowed, first, to highlight the inconsistency of modern model of the Ukrainian state, and secondly, to formulate the basis of the best constitutional model in Ukraine.
