Object – the process of regulation and financial security of the development of local government. Research purpose – to substantiate theoretical and methodological basis of regulation and financial security of local government and to determine the direction of strengthening of its role in the stimulation of the social and economic development of our country. Methods and apparatus – the scientific abstraction, the systemic and functional, analysis, synthesis, the logical generalization. Theoretical and practical results - on the basis of theoretical research of essence and features of regulation and financial security of local government are offered conceptual principles of regulation of the development of local government in Ukraine, direction of strengthening of its role in stimulation of social and economic development of the state.
