Essay

The object is physical processes of wave excitation in cylindrical microstrip antennas. The purpose is showing up and generalization of the physical phenomena and objective laws, providing effective wave excitation and radiation in cylindrical microstrip antennas with patches of complex geometry. The methods of researches are the methods of solving the boundary value problems in the propagation and the excitation wave theory. To analyze the cylindrical microstrip antennas, two different approaches have been developed and numerically realized. New types of patches have been proposed. The demonstration of the slot resonance effect for printed antennas has been found. A sphere of the use is radiophysics.
