Object - periodically perturbed weakly guiding optical fibre; aim - theoretical study of periodically perturbed optical fibres, which maintain a stable propagation of optical vortices; methods - perturbation theory, method of generalized Jones matrices; novelty - it is shown that rotation of axes of anisotropy of the anisotropic and elliptic fibres and winding ideal fibres leads to a stable propagation of optical vortices in them; results - it is developed the theory of higher modes in periodically perturbed optical fibres; field - optical engineering, communication systems.
