Drogomyretska M. Pathogenetic principles of orthodontic treatment of dentofacial anomalies in adults accompanied with atherosclerosis and hypoestrogenia

In the thesis there is provided experimental and clinical laboratory reasoning of a new solution of the actual science practical orthodontics problem, that is improving the efficiency of dentofacial anomalies treatment accompanied with periodontitis. The latter is conditioned with CHD and hypoestrogenia. The solution proposed is the usage of adaptogenic, antioxidative, osteotrophic, collagen formatting preparations on the different stages of treatment according to a certain scheme. Usage of the proposed complex therapy allowed to normalize biochemical parameters of oral liquid and blood, the level of functional reactions responsible for homeorhesis, charge state of the buccal epithelium cells, functional reactions on masticatory stress in the microcapillary channel of the gums mucous membrane, to reduce the mucous membrane barrier penetrability and also to normalize the processes of bone metabolism in jaws, where orthodontic devices were fixed.
