Essay

The aim of thesis is to evaluate distribution of Lyme borreliosis (LB) in western region of Ukraine, clarify the main epidemiologic characteristics and modes of im-mune responce, regional peculiarities of clinical picture and correlation of different clinical forms and define most effective methods to decrease morbidity.A method of identifying the indications and method of afterexposure prophylaxis of LB has been proposed. It has been shown to improve speed and effectiveness of urgent prevention, establish territories with the high risk of infection and indirectly characterize intensity of enzootic process.
