In the dissertation the everyday life of the Soviet Ukrainian intelligentsia in the 1920s is analyzed. The theoretical-methodological base and degree of development of scientific problem are found out; classification of source base is offered. Historiography of everyday studies in Western and Russian humanitarian sciences is analyzed. It is proved that history of everyday life as a direction in socio-anthropological studies has integral and interdisci-plinary character. Features of becoming of history of everyday life in contemporary Ukrainian historiography are exposed. On the base of analyses of different sources the realty of the Soviet Ukrainian intelli-gentsia's everyday life in the first Soviet decade is characterized. Its behavior reactions and life strategies are circumscribed in context of daily occurrence transformation from tradi-tional-withstand to extreme-normative one. The main attention is given to ways and means of conformization of intelligentsia, mechanisms of its workaday adaptation, and its contri-bution in formation of a new way of life of the stratum in particular and the society on the whole.
