Serdyuk O. Sociological approach in modern jurisprudence: philosophic-and-legal research.

In the thesis epistemological status of sociological approach in modern jurisprudence is researched. Definition of essence and content of the notion of "approach" is suggested. Analysis of the social aspect of the law as fundamental ideological and theoretical problem of modern jurisprudence is conducted. Basic epistemological characteristics of sociological approach in the jurisprudence are identified as well as analysis of its evolution was conducted. Particularities of the influence by competition of classical and non-classical (post non-classical) paradigms in social cognition on the status of sociological knowledge in modern jurisprudence were determined. Particularities of the sociological approach's influence on ideological transformations in modern jurisprudence were researched. Analysis of methodological problems of sociological (social) notions interpretation in legislation and legal doctrine was conducted. Particularities of empirical sociological methods application in forming empirical basis of cognition of the law were found out. The main mechanisms of interaction between sociological and legal approaches in the context of general trend to integration of the methods and approaches in the framework of combined cognitive process of the modern jurisprudence were determined.
