Odotiuk I. Research intensity of the production and structural transformations in industry

Purpose: to develop the theoretical-methodological provisions of the improvement of the economic policy of the technological shifts in the industrial structure, to specify and validate the economic parameters of the long-term prospect of the implementation of structural transformations concerning the formation of the high-tech industrial production. Object: the process of the transformations of the technological structure of industry, and the research intensity as the criterion of its implementation and assessment. Subject: the components of transformation process, the specifics of research intensity and structural transformations interrelations in industry. Methods and equipment: logical-dialectic, historical, functional, system, generalizations, synthesis, grouping, time extrapolation, expert assessment, critical, structural and comparative analysis. Scientific novelty includes the development of the methodology of the assessment of the transformation shifts and the efficiency of commercialization of new knowledge in industry; the specification and validation of the basic forecast scenarios of the high-tech production development in Ukraine for the period up to 2020. It provides the new approach in solving of the important scientific-applied problem of the assessment of research intensity and structural transformations interrelations in industry. Theoretic and applied results:it is specified the basic technological tendencies, efficiency and the innovative orientation of the structural transformations in Ukrainian industry; it is specified the structural imbalances and the medium-term scenarios of the investment support of the structural transformations in Ukrainian industry for the period up to 2013; it is developed the forecast scenarios of economic development of high-tech production in Ukraine for the period up to 2020. Introduction level - is improved. Area of application: management of economy, public administration of the innovative and technological development of economy.
